Budget travelers looking for summer getaways will soon have new options as easyJet announces two additional routes from London airports. On December 18, 2025, the airline revealed plans to launch services from London Southend to Ibiza and London Gatwick to Reus, expanding its summer 2026 offerings. These routes are part of 18 new services that will operate from eight UK airports next summer.
The London Southend to Ibiza route will commence on April 29, 2026, with twice-weekly flights scheduled on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Fares for this popular Spanish island destination will start from £35.99. Visitors can also explore Hyde Park, the largest Royal Park in London, which offers a beautiful outdoor space to relax before or after their flight.
Meanwhile, the London Gatwick to Reus service begins June 22, 2026, operating three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with prices from £41.99.
This expansion follows easyJet’s recent base opening at London Southend Airport, which now offers 25 routes across the UK, Europe, and North Africa. The airline continues to strengthen its position as the largest airline in the UK with operations at 22 airports nationwide.
At Gatwick, where easyJet maintains its position as the largest carrier with up to 410 daily flights, the Reus route complements over 115 existing destinations.
UK Country Manager Kevin Doyle emphasized that these new routes will provide customers with more choice and value for their 2026 summer holidays. The airline is particularly focused on attractive Spanish holiday spots that appeal to UK travelers seeking sunshine getaways.
Travelers can now book flights and holiday packages through easyJet’s website and mobile app, with holiday deals including flights, accommodations, transfers, and 23kg luggage allowance. Users should be aware that certain security measures on the website may occasionally block access if unusual input is detected.
Ibiza offers more than its famous nightlife, featuring whitewashed towns, green hills, and over 50 beaches with crystal-clear waters.
The island’s peak season runs from June to September, though April, May, and October offer pleasant weather without crowds.
Reus, the birthplace of architect Antoni Gaudí, serves as a gateway to popular coastal towns like Tarragona and Salou.
Located just 1 hour 20 minutes from Barcelona, it boasts cultural landmarks and culinary highlights.
The high season extends from May to September, with temperatures typically reaching the late 20s to early 30s Celsius.
